What we do

Rescuing broken projects

Over budget, behind schedule, and nobody's happy? It's not too late. We help you work out where things really stand, and find the way back on track.

We'd always rather be involved from the start. But sometimes we get the call when things have already gone wrong, and that's when an experienced, independent view matters most.

Signs your project is in trouble

  • The dates keep moving. Every status report has a new go-live date, and nobody quite believes the latest one.
  • The budget is gone, but the system isn't finished. Change requests keep arriving, and each one costs more than the last.
  • You and your partner have stopped trusting each other. Meetings feel like negotiations, and every conversation ends in "that's out of scope".
  • Your users have checked out. The people who were excited at the start have quietly gone back to their spreadsheets.
  • Nobody can tell you where it really stands. Reports are green, but your gut says otherwise.

What we do

  • Take an honest look. An independent review of where the project really stands: scope, budget, timeline, quality, and the relationships between the people involved.
  • Translate in both directions. Help your business and your partner understand what each side actually needs to get the project finished.
  • Reset the plan. Agree what has to be delivered now, what can wait for a later phase, and what should be dropped altogether.
  • Repair the relationship. Get the right people from both sides talking again, starting with the sponsors.
  • Tell your board the truth. Give your executives a clear, independent picture, and the options in front of them.

What to expect

We won't pretend every project can be saved, and we won't promise a perfect result. Sometimes we have to play the hand that we're dealt.

What we can promise is an honest assessment and a practical way forward. As one CEO told us, their project was "heading for mediocrity - a 5/10 at best - and when you got involved it lifted to at least 7.5/10". You can read that story, and others, on our experience page.

If your project is wobbling, the sooner you call, the more options you'll have. Talk to us today.
